1. As you have noticed, some changes are taking place. Stay tuned for more info.
2. I am happy to announce an anorthite rich Angrite which will be available for sale shortly.
The meteorite is currently being officially classified by Dr Tony Irving after preliminary testing performed by Anthony Love showed this to be something special. The official NWA number should be assigned this week. The new page, "Angrite Meteorites" has more detailed information.
3. I am in the process of adding a page for the Bensour Meteorite. You can find it under the classified meteorites tab.
4. I am working on the Bilanga page and adding samples of the very rare meteorite for sale. You can find it under the achondrite tab.

Announcement: JULY 7, 2009
NWA 5799
Classification: LL4 S3 W1
Found: 2008
Location: Morocco
TKW: 497 grams
This is a stone I purchased back in late 2008 from one of my Moroccan suppliers. Just today it was assigned its official number - NWA 5799.
I supplied many institutions with samples of this for testing/study free of charge and also alot of collectors.
Samples of this meteorite are also being used in a study on inclusions in chondrules that have been processed at very high temperatures by Marc Fries of NASA JPL (something I have not made really public until now - suprise to all owners of this!) Once I recieve information on this, I will make it available, but it may be some time before the study is complete.
It features an abundant amount of bleached and armored chondrules and is really a nice fresh stone.
The stone prior to cutting was 497 grams and the main mass as it sits now is 191.1 grams and will remain in my collection along with a single slice I decided to keep.
All samples I had available have long since been sold, so there is no more of this on the market from me - Less then 250 grams was made available.
191.1 gram (Main Mass)
